Meet Elyse
Elyse Wahlquist Van Wagenen, M.A., CCC-SLP
Co-founder of Chatter Pediatric Therapy is a Florida licensed and American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA) certified speech-language pathologist based in the Tallahassee and Crawfordville area. She received her B.A. from Brigham Young University and her Masters in Speech and Language Pathology from The George Washington University.
As a Tallahassee native, Elyse is thrilled to be back working in her hometown. Elyse was raised watching her mom touch so many lives in this community with her work as a pediatric physical therapist and is honored to be serving alongside her. As a pediatric SLP, she has experience working in both schools and private practice settings as well as home-based early intervention with a speciality in a parent-coaching model. Elyse is passionate about creating a learning environment that fosters independence and connection while providing quality therapy based on research and evidence. She finds joy in parent education and empowerment and loves to create partnerships with families to provide the best outcomes.
Elyse is trained in the Orton-Gillingham literacy approach and is passion about marrying literacy skills, executive function strategies, and language skills together to meet the needs of our clients!
When she is not working, Elyse enjoys spending time with her family, the performing arts, trips to Costco, and a good DIY house project!
Meet Hammadah
Hammadah Wahlquist, M.S., CCC-SLP
Co-founder of Chatter Pediatric Therapy is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist who is licensed in both Florida and Missouri. Hammadah earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from Florida State University.
As a pediatric SLP, she has experience working in both schools and private practice settings as well as home-based early intervention. Hammadah also worked as an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) facilitator specializing in acquiring communication systems for children in the school setting. As a parent of a child with autism, Hammadah is passionate about mitigating the gap in therapy in underserved and rural populations as well as parent education and advocacy.
You will find Hammadah often behind the scenes as Chatter’s administrator. When she’s not working, Hammadah enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, shopping, and planning a party or two!
Meet Addi
Addi O’Bryan, M.S., CF-SLP
Addi is a Florida licensed provisional speech-language pathologist. She is currently completing her clinical fellowship for certification through the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) here at Chatter! Addi earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from Florida State University.
As a pediatric SLP, Addi has experience working with children of all ages and across a wide range of diagnoses, with particular expertise in speech sound and language disorders. She is also proficient in American Sign Language, allowing her to support a variety of communication preferences.
Addi is passionate about helping every child develop a strong foundation for communication and literacy. She believes that all children deserve meaningful access to language in its many forms, including written language. This passion led her to specialize in evidence-based literacy intervention for children with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. Her goal is to empower children with the skills and confidence they need to become successful communicators, readers, and lifelong learners.
In her free time, Addi enjoys relaxing with a good book, finding a new recipe to bake, and traveling with her fiancé!
